A while back I posted about trailing vines on homes and how much I loved it. I have just planted some around our entry area; however, I don't have much of a green thumb, so keep your fingers crossed that it "takes". Anyway, I thought it might be fun to look at a few more homes that have beautiful plantings that add to the architecture and style of a home:
I adore large pots next to a front door like these!
I'm not sure what to make of outdoor furniture covered with moss...it seems to keep popping up. What do you think?
Doesn't this look divine???

Glad to hear you've been having fun getting out and about Seattle! We went to an old favorite in a new location -- Restaurant Zoe, which recently relocated from Belltown to Capitol Hill. It was delicious.
I'll be rooting for your vines -- we're re-landscaping at our house, I love the look of a wine-covered trellis.
Happy week, Barbara!
Greenery does add so much to a home. Did you plant Wisteria? It tends to do very well here. Happy you are settling into the emerald city!
soooooo divine. i love how established it feels.
smiles to you.

Its very pretty but I hear can go a little crazy. I do appreciate it in older stately homes.
All beautiful. Would love to have any of these, but I am in love with the first and last images. As for the moss, it looks pretty, but I wouldn't sit on it, so for me it would be similar to any other art.
Glad you had fun weekend, Barbara.

I LOVE the look, but couldn't find the time to manage it, and all the damage it causes (the invasive species at least) is a little worrying.
All so beautiful, we are definitely going to be planting ivy (but maintaining it) on our home and I can hardly wait. I love the instant character it gives whatever its planted on. Have never seen that outdoor furniture like that but have ot say its pretty amazing. Hope the unpacking is going well!
Love all these ideas. The image with stone walk way is enchanting.Glad you had a great time visiting with friends.
I love trailing vines too but haven't found the right place to start them at our house. I love Wisteria and climbing roses. I may just have to get a garden arch to get things going before too long. Love your inspiration images. Hope your vines are a success!

I've always loved the idea of having a pergola full of trailing vines or climbing roses over my front door! Fingers crossed that your vines take!
I love the pair of tall iron planters on pedestals. Bunny Williams has a beautiful moss bench in her CT garden. Then again, everything in her garden is beautiful. This Victorian sofa "suite" may go a little too far for me.
Best...Victoria
