Driftwood

Lately I seem to keep coming across beautiful pieces of driftwood in decor that I really love.  It is sculptural, natural and rugged all in one.  My parents have a gorgeous piece from a past beach trip that sits on on a windowsill and, despite it not being art, can really hold its own!  When I get back to Oregon I am definitely making a trip to the coast...in the hopes that I can find some beautiful, artful pieces of driftwood to take home with me...

  1. there certainly is something about the weathered natural element that drift wood presents..sometimes Mother Nature is the best artist..surprising us with all her Grandeur.... I remember growing up on a lake and finding bits and pieces when I was a kid..I was always fascinated by it...

  2. I adore driftwood. I was lucky enough to have one client on the water who wanted a coastal feel, so we did lots of white and pale blue. We found a place that makes custom driftwood tables with glass tops. GORGEOUS. I love this post and every image in it!
