Lovely Living Rooms

A few of my favorite living rooms as of late...they all seemed to lean toward elegant, with muted colors and a bit of a romantic flair.  I have noted what I think makes each room special.  See you what you think and let me know!

Amazing arched french doors!!!

Soaring ceilings + stunning chandelier + eclectic furniture = beautiful!

This mossy green velvet and the sultry shape of those chairs gives the room some great kick!

The arches make the room feel open without it being a completely open floor plan.

The religious artefacts give this room so much character.

Gentle spice colors, that chandelier and the crest over the mantel make for a great space!

More from my recent infatuation with John Jacob!

The touches of soft blue make this room very easy on the eyes.
A bit more rustic:  what an interesting coffee table.

Lots of unique accents in this room make it woth a second look.

A very traditional setting, but with unique furniture selections that make it unexpected.

So cozy!  Perfect for a cold Fall day...

I hope you enjoyed this post!

  2. What incredible images! I'm blown away actually - particularly enamoured with the rustic beamed ceiling scheme and the one with the warm spice coloured accents.

  5. Such lovely spaces... I also noticed that many had beautiful beams, something we plan to add to our kitchen and family room next year. Have a great weekend, Barbara!

  10. These are beautiful rooms. While they are elegant, they are not intimidating at all. I think it may have to do with the introduction of rustic, natural elements...high and low; rough and refined giving texture to the rooms. However you want to describe it, it works.

  11. I too would be happy in every single room you've shown here. With the exception of the green chairs (which I love by the way and already have pinned) all the furniture is neutral, almost white. The architectual details (even a fireplace and mantel) go a long way in making a room beautiful. I need to remember this when it's time to buy a house. Oh, and to have any French door in a room, but three? and arched? Oh my.
