I had lots of fun and luck at the markets this weekend,
working on my inventory for the upcoming opening of Linen Haus!

A second vintage seltzer bottle from Hungary.
This is such a great look on open shelving in a kitchen.

Vintage linen table runners with red french ticking from the 1930s.
They are still in stunningly good condition, with a silvery sheen.
They would be beautiful on a table inside or out.

I added two more large bottles to my collection.
These were originally used to hold oils or wine and come from Romania.

I bought *lots* of vintage botanicals from Vienna with
vibrant colors and a variety of designs.

These are the dough bowls I blogged about yesterday from Romania.
I find them irresistable: rustic, charming and so versatile!

Vintage linen tea towels - again beautifully preserved.
I wonder with a lot of these linens if they were stuck away
in a drawer long ago by a wealthy "Prominente" here in Munich and never, ever used!
Some of you have asked about the timing of the shop opening. First of all thanks so much for your interest and enthusiasm! I am excited to be opening it soon, but because we may have some transitions coming up for our family I am holding off until we know what our future holds. I'll keep you posted and in the meantime if something in particular is of interest to you, please contact me directly.

Just hopped over from The Enchanted Home and loved your interview! I grew up in Belgium and have so many fond memories of Munich... Your linens are gorgeous and I love your choices of accessories - I'm dying for one of those old wine bottles and the bread bowl would look perfect down my dining room table. I'm off to look at your shop and excited to have found yet another great design blog to add to my daily reading!
