If you have been following my blog for a while, you know how much I love the freshness and energy of interiors with a touch of nutmeg, pumpkin and other shades of orange. I just can't seem to get enough of it. As I was looking through my collection of orange-infused favorites, I noticed how beautifully it works with the types of eclectic styles I am drawn to. Here is my latest set of inspirational images - hope you find some that you like, too!

Princess pumpkins are my favorite - I am planning on having several of those on my front door step this year. I guess now is the time...!

Such a cool, easy idea: painting just the edge of the door - that's a paint job I could handle...

I love orange! That said I love these images. I could never have an all orange room or do the walls in orange, orange is better used as accents. Enjoy your week Barbara!
ReplyDeleteI also love orange, that Betty Lou Phillips picture is perfection. Beautiful...haven't really decorated with it, but definitely open to it...beautiful color especially when the late day sun hits it, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Barbara!
ReplyDeleteOrange is such a great color to add to a room. It's strong, but not too deceiving. It brings some sunshine, some fun. Perfect for this time of the year also.
Wishing you a very blessed week, sweetie!

Okay Barbara I'm going to be coming to you for help very soon. The new house we bought is open concept and has a huge slab of granite that is predominantly orange. It's never been my favourite colour but I have to work with it so I'll be incorporating orange throughout. That MS door idea is BRILLIANT!!
ReplyDeleteI love orange, but have always been to chicken to use it in my own house. Probably actually because it wouldn't go with the rest of the decor. I pinned a lot of these images - gorgeous post!

OOOOoooo! I love a dash of orange. It gives a little life to an otherwise ho hum space. Thanks for all of the images!
ReplyDeleteI love orange in its many iterations. It is invigorating and, in small doses, makes a room sing. I may have to find a door edge to paint.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Best...Victoria
Something about orange always puts me in a fall mood - the maples in the back yard are just turning. Love the images from Flamant, one of my favorite shops in Paris! Hope you have a happy week!

I am not usually an orange fan, but I love almost every picture. I love the orange accents in every room. I guess I like it in pops of color. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI love the orange and beige striped drapes in one of the first pictures! I'd have to do something about the rug paired with it...but hey, we're playing pretend now, aren't we?
ReplyDeleteWould it surprise you to learn that I feel *exactly* the same way, Barbara? I have been searching for an orange throw and a pillow to two to add to my decor for Fall. Have not found any that suit yet though. My favorite of this bunch is the daybed in the carriage house. I about fell over the first time I saw that picture!

The oranges are making my heart happy....thanks. Mary
ReplyDeleteI call them spice colors...and I'm so drawn to them. Add so much warmth to a neutral space. Love these images.XO Mona
ReplyDeleteColors of Fall and Halloween. They also make me think of pumpkin pie... Mmmmm... The Tracery Interiors detail shot is the one for me. It's quality of light and the reataint of the composition are terrific!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
John
