Funny title for a post, huh? This is a random post, and I was in a silly kind of mood, so that's what popped out!
The roofers are starting to put our new roof on our future home today, so I'm about to dash off to bring them doughnuts. Everyone loves a doughnut, right? I thought it couldn't hurt to be nice to those guys. We move in next week and we are all sooooo ready - two months in limbo is enough for all of us! Come to think of it, maybe I deserve a doughnut. ;)
Anyway, before I do, I wanted to let you know that today I am lucky enough to be included in a fun series over at The Treasured Home: "Eight Things You Might Not Know About Me". This blog is authored by another Barbara and she always has fresh ideas for traditional spaces with a beautiful twist.
So, just in case you'd like to know a little more about me - including about the time I met Bruce Willis - head over there. I think you'll really enjoy looking around her blog!
YES! You certainly deserve a doughnut! How exciting to be moving in next week! I love settling in to new places and don't get to do it much any longer. (when you're a grown up, you're supposed to put down roots...but I'm not so sure!)
Thanks for joining my series at the Treasured Home today! Cheers!, Barbara
Donuts definitely worked for us and our contractors... until they disappeared before the door hardware could be installed! Can't believe you met Bruce so I'm off to read more! xxoo
Great post, Barbara. Treat those guys like gold! If that means donuts and coffee, so be it! I'd sneak one or two for myself if I were in your shoes... I like the cake style with a little chocolate frosting...
I taught skiing for many years. Never met a celeb... Had one pro basketball player whom I told to give it up before he hurt himself. Another retired pro football player who I was taking down expert slopes after one day. (I always wondered if he was a ringer...) I could go on and on...
Will head on over now..but wanted to give you some good news!! You won my giveaway for the monogrammed linens. Visit my post and email me with your details:)
A little sweetness does wonders! Sounds like you are busy with your move. Kirkland is lovely - lots of fun eateries and boutiques tucked away. I will be there Friday to take a few photos for my girlfriend's business located on Lake W. Blvd. I hope the weather is better.. and I won't be wearing the wedges!
