These are all my favorite Barbara because I have the smallest foyer known to man so I'm slightly jealous. Beautiful and welcoming foyer and I want one!
What a lovely way to start the day perusing these photos. I love them all but the black and white entry with the glassed arched doorway is particularly stunning. Thanks for sharing.
hi barbara, you don't know me, but I follow Haus Design. I just nominated you for a Liebster award. I won't be offended if you don't want to pass it along, but I wanted to let you know.
Lovely! Our foyer is still a work in progress - looking for just the right lantern, the perfect table. So much great inspiration in every space here! Hope you are having a lovely week!
Barbara, This is a beautiful post, full of inspiring ideas for the foyer! As soon as our renovation is done and things are back where they should be, I will be putting up a beautiful wallpaper in my front entry and up 3 flights of stairs. I just haven't felt that my entry had the impact it could. First impressions do mean a lot!!
Next to your front door, the foyer is the place that you say hello. It is the place the tells visitors to your home a whole lot about who you are, your values and how they will be treated as guests...
I like image number 1, the last image, 9, 10 and 11. I like them because each one in its own way is approachable, refined, has a sense of grace, shows reverence to it's history and place yet speaks to todays lifestyle and tastes. What is new is old, old is new, the lines are very blurry...
They are all elegant and grand, but I especially like 1 for the plaster walls and ceiling, 4 for the tete-a-tete made from two ottomans and a bolster, 7 for its contemporary drama, 8 for the mirrored wall and 11 for the brick and the steel doors. Best...Victoria
I really hope the next house we move into has some sort of foyer and entrance hall that I can glam up like these! The 2nd last pic is definitely my favourite! I love the dark wood and the big black and white photograph.

Barbara,
ReplyDeleteI love the foyer with the brick wall. I have always wanted a used brick wall in a house.
