Love that gorgeous brickwork!
Lush, with elegant brickwork and a water feature? Amazing.
Spanish Style works for me too!
This brings back good memories of trips to Spain and Italy, where courtyards are a must to escape that sizzling heat.
Inviting in the best possible way!
I hope you enjoyed these. More coming soon!
What a scrumptious post Barbara!! I love courtyards and if blessed with the right weather think I could live in one! These are just stunning, defniitely bookmarking this post!!
ReplyDeleteOh so beautiful, Barbara. I am with you on the brick.
ReplyDeleteSeem the patio is the last thing to get attention, but these ideas can change that.
Happy Wednesday.

Oh these are lovely. I think we are going to get rid of the little patch of anemic grass in our backyard and replace it with blue stone, brick or little pink rocks-- hopefully the results will be as inviting as what you've shown us here.
ReplyDeleteit's on my someday list for sure. they are a rarity in the midwest so extra special in my book!

Such lovely spaces - I can already feel the summer breezes... Some o fthese remind me of my aunt's villa in Florence and her fabulous courtyard where we dine under the stars. Looking forward to our visit to Seattle next month!

I love courtyards. I had two in my last house, but none here in SW Florida. I do have a lanai and I am going to say it qualifies as a southern courtyard. There. I feel better now. Thanks for these beautiful images to dream about.

What spectacular courtyards! We got rid of all grass in the back patio years ago and have brick and stone with trees and vines. Alas, the rainy season has arrived in Miami (usually referred to as Summer), so it's back inside to air-conditioned rooms till October for us here in South Florida!

All of these courtyards are gorgeous, Barbara. Any one of them would be a dream come true!
ReplyDeleteThis post has me wishing summer would hurry up and get here already! I really love the idea of using a bench as seating against a table with small chairs scattered around!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I am eating this post up!
ReplyDeleteI love courtyards more than any exterior feature I can think of. It's the New Mexican in me. Great post!
