Those chairs and the sketches - wow!
I can't get over how amazing the oversized chandelier looks in this room!
Rustic elegance from Roses and Rust Blog...
I'm not usually a pink person but this room is very original and beautiful...
Of course I went crazy for the antiqued mirror.
Check out that ceiling!
Is anyone getting tired of nailhead trim yet? Not moi...
Scandinavian flair...

Oh how I would love to have that oversized chandelier over my dining room table! That reminds me to keep looking for a special chandelier on flea markets here... :-) Still haven't found the right one! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these beautiful images Barbara!!

The next to last image with the built in banquette speaks to me. Combined with the candle sconces and chadelier, I'm sold! Perfect setting for Thanksgiving dinner, right down to the goose painting in the background.

A chandelier (or two), elegant French chairs, vintage mirrors, a weathered table. That's my recipe for a perfect dining room. So many examples of delicious dining -- it's hard to pick a favorite...maybe 7? Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAll stunning but 3 and 6 do it for me, give me beautiful antiqued mirror a beautiful chandelier, but truth be told they are all very beautiful! Wishing you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThey're all so elegant and chic! The last 2 images are definitely my favourites (just melted over that beautiful floor)!!
ReplyDeleteI would choose the first one (I love those chairs) with the over-sized chandelier from image #2. Thanks for the inspirations, Barbara.

ReplyDeleteAll lovely but the first three are my favorites!! And I LOVE the idea of the combination dining room/library - I'll be looking out for your thoughts on that matter!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful selection of dining rooms. I think the 2nd last one is my favourite. Interestingly, the one with the beautiful ceiling, is in South Africa and just won the House of the Year competition run by a local magazine. If I can find the link I will send it to you - the whole house is beautiful! x Sharon
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to choose my favorites... but No.1 by Madeline Stuart because it represents great classic American design; No.7 for its expansive timeless European aesthetic and great antiques; No. 12 because I love the monastic feel of it--great for kids, dogs and tons of family. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know that being in Germany gives the holiday a slightly different flavor. Mary
ReplyDeleteI adore the one with the hydrangeas on the table. It includes all of my favorite elements in the Design in Five!
