I did some browsing for lighting today and came across several that I admired. I also added in a few of my long standing favorites just for fun, along with some spontaneous comments about where I'd use them:
Noir |
Two over a kitchen island would be dramatic and amazing!
Flamant |
I can easily see these in a restrained, elegant European living room...
I'd use these masculine and sleek sconces in a marble bath any day of the week.
Circa Lighting |
For a french-inspired home...
West Elm |
Wouldn't these be great in a trio over a kitchen counter?
Or over a large office workspace?
West Elm |
I like this clear version of a gourd lamp for a family room - perfect for Fall!
Room & Board |
I had my eye on this pendant for a long time, but in the end I went with an off-white, double barrelled version instead, so I wouldn't be locked in to a certain color. It's in storage in the US for now. I'm crazy like that. :)
This one reminds me of honeycombs and I love the handblown quality.
I'd like to try out grouping 5 or so, perhaps in varying shades and heights, in a double story foyer.
jayson home and garden |
On either side of a clean-lined sofa? Yes, please.
Circa Lighting |
This would be so versatile and gorgeous as part of a vignette in a foyer.
Williams Sonoma Home |
I actually bought these lamps because I kept thinking of places to use them, especially on a sofa table behind a velvet couch. Sadly I returned them - they are HUGE and I wanted something a bit more versatile to move around the house, including bedside...I still adore them though!
Circa Lighting |
This one's funky! I'd love to see it in a grand foyer to inject some fun and dimension.
Did you see any here today that you need to have in your home? If so, where would you use it?

I love those gourd lamps! I enjoyed your guest post yesterday too!
What an exquisite round-up!
These are all wonderful choices my favorite though is the lamp from circa lighting I could use a couple of those in my living room.
love your examples of fabulous lighting..I always have a hard time finding lights and lamps that I like...but I did find two chinoiserie plaster lamps at the thrift for $25 circa 1950's that are stunning... :)

Would love to place the first image over my dining room table! I have the gourd lamp from West Elm with black shade, mood lighting in our den. It sets a soft, sophisticated tone in the corner and the shape of the base is timeless. good price point as well. The last image would be so fun!
The big mirrored pendant is wonderful! I love lighting. Our choices just keep getting better and better!
