Eye On Vancouver: Beautiful Homes

As I said in my post on Monday, we just returned from a long weekend in Vancouver.  What a gorgeous city with tons of waterways and beautiful outdoor spaces, but also neighborhoods with beautiful homes!

We stumbled upon the most idyllic neighborhood near Kitsilano Beach while we were up there.  I absolutely loved this neighborhood and here are some reasons why:  The houses were large, but not ridiculously so.  They were also all slightly different, but all in good taste (at least in my opinion!).  I was impressed that they were all beautifully maintained - unlike in Seattle, where even in the nicest neighborhoods you get the occasional neglected home or eyesore.  Lastly, they all had gorgeous gardens and charming tree lined streets.  Let's take a look together, shall we?  :)

A lovely traditional home...

Beautiful detailing around that stately front door!

All of the streets had this lush greenery arching over the streets - how charming!

I always melt over a round window, and how about those hydrangeas and boxwoods?

A lovely little terrace above the front door...

This one really drew me in with its masculine appeal.  Don't miss that great little seating area upstairs...I presume off of the master bedroom.

The same house around the's a stunner!

This one reminded me of some of the Munich mansions I had shared with you all quite a while grand.

I hope you enjoyed the tour.  Any favorites?

I love neighborhoods that look like this. In truth, it reminds me of a Seattle neighborhood called Madison. My friend took me around Madison on my visit to her last year.
Such pretty architecture and gardens, especially the hydrangea and boxwoods house.

What a lovely neighborhood. You found some treasures. I too love the house that is your favorite but that fence with the evergreens at attention ...kind of hard to know what they were thinking. As always a lovely post!!

I know Vancouver but not that idyllic
neighborhood. Every house has it's own charm and it is hard to decide for one.
