Favorite Things: Settees

Do you love settees as much as I do?  Every time I see one, I love the element of style that it adds...in an entry, living room, hallway, even in a dining room in place of traditional seating.  Here are a few beautiful examples:

Beautiful Entryway/entry. Love the love seat/settee.

I love any piece of furniture that suggests a "pause" in life, and settees do that. I am sorry, I don't have the images to do that story we talked about. Hoping you have a Merry time in Seattle for your first Christmas there. xo ebb

As usual you have posted some stunning examples. I love the idea of a settee in an area that is secondary...love the look...not so much the comfort

How did you know? Seriously, I have such a weakness for settees! Ever since I was a little girl and my best friend had one in her bedroom! When I was asked to do my first Jr. League showcase booth for our Antiques and Garden Show and then for our first Decorator's Showhouse that we contributed to…and then in our third show house…we did Settees! And you know …that first one is still in my bedroom today and I wouldn't trade it for the world! I love it! You showed some fabulous examples, Barbara!

Fabulous examples! It's been a dream of mine to find a settee with "good bones" to recover and make my own. I love the one in the 6th pic!
