Even just as a border...

One of my *all time* favorite spaces...the washed brick is divine!

Is there such a thing as too much brick? Perhaps...

Clever!

Lovely and soft...

Just in case you're interested. :)

Great surround for the oval window!

Steel doors and this brick design give a more modern, Euro look.

Wishing you a lovely day!

Love the Herringbone style in the last picture and pale bricks. I wish we could use them on a flat surface in New England but the bricks fall apart due to moisture. So I'll just dream and stare at your post!

Is there anything greater than brick! I love every single image, Barbara!

I love this look. I was considering a brick floor in my kitchen and then opted for tiles. I've regretted it ever since! Lovely to hear from you - hope you are keeping well. xx Sharon
Such gorgeous brickwork - love the images where old brick is used. Would love to train ivy on my front steps!!
Just pinned some photos. I love outdoor patios.
Beautiful images, Barbara. I have brick o my outdoor patios and driveway and I love the look. Here in Florida, I don't have Debra's concern about freeze and thaw...just heat. Have a great day.

Exposed brick is actually quite rare here in the UK – houses are usually rendered but the use of exposed red bricks is very common in South Africa (where I am from) so it always makes me feel a bit nostalgic. My dream would be to have a herringbone brick path or even a bricked entry way in my future home.
Good morning Ms. Barbara,
Good to hear from you again!
I have a thing for brick too. And I wouldn't mind a brick wall (just one) in our kichen!
No dinner last week. Dinner at my house instead! (Before M. hops on a plane?).
I hope you are enjoying the tropical weather, Barbara.

i needed this post. oh my goodness i do love brick and am in the dream phase of planning some much needed upgrades to our backyard. if money were no object, i would commission huge expanses of the washed, quiet, european paved glory and top it with soft furniture in cream and driftwood grey. until then, i'll study your post a little further!
smiles to you.

Just lovely. I like the pattern and texture of brick. Beautiful examples.
Love limewashed brick! You found some wonderful images...what is prettier than brick on a patio?
Barbara...I have always loved brick and I think were going to see more of it!
