White & Green Gardens

Hello Everyone!

Hope you're having a lovely week so far.  I haven't forgotten about all of you - or blogging - my mind has just been on other things lately and I have found it hard to get back to my computer on a regular basis.  However, I thought you might enjoy something that has been on my mind, which is the idea of an all white (and green) garden.  Take a look at some of these lovely examples and see what you think:

You know I'm a huge fan of trailing vines...

Gorgeous!

OK so there is a tiny bit of peach in there, but you get the idea.  :)
I love the texture of baskets in this neutral palette...

Are you with me on this?  :)

I'm Still Here!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been away so long.  I really appreciate the kind emails and comments I have gotten from several of you!!  I have used the time to get some very important things in my life in order, and now I'll be slowly transitioning back into blogging.

So...I wanted to at least say hello.  :)  I'll be back soon, but for now here is a small dose of pretty to brighten your day!

After looking at the pictures that I chose for today's post, it seems I am in a bright, "fresh start" kind of mood, which  of course makes sense for Spring.
What kind of mood are you in today?  Let me know!

Favorite Things: Topiaries

I love the look of a topiary - indoors and out.  Currently I have an olive topiary in the kitchen window and right after Thanksgiving some oversized topiaries with twinkly lights will be sitting on either side of the front door, but I could go on and on in several rooms in the house.  :)

Here are a few of my favorite examples!

A Lovely Welcome

Hi Everyone!  First of all thanks so much for all of your lovely comments on Monday's post about opening Linen Haus Design Services.  I'm excited to get started and all of your words of encouragement certainly help.  :)  Now on to today's post:

This is such a charming entrance...I just had to share it!  I love how it's elegant, but not perfect.

It brought back good memories of all of the beautiful doors that I saw when we lived in Europe.  You can see some of my favorite European doorways here...

Gardens, Patios & More

Hi Everyone!  Hope you're having a great weekend.  We are headed off to a little family reunion on a nearby island - I'm excited to see family and also explore a different corner of the Seattle area.  I love being a tourist in my own city!

We are expecting lovely weekend weather, but I know the Seattle rain is right around the corner.  That has made me want to make sure we soak up every ounce of sunshine while we can!  I'd be happy to spend an afternoon in any of these - see what you think:
