Cozy, Rustic Spaces

Fall definitely brings on - at least for us design lovers - the craving for nesting in cozy, rustic spaces, doesn't it?  I have posted about it last Fall here and here also, but here are a few of my latest faves:

Notice how the base of this room has many neutrals and soft blues - the spice colors blend beautifully with them!

Pumpkins!

You may have seen my post here of how I just have one pumpkin (so far) on my front door step.  We have a few trips to pumpkin patches planned for the next few weekends so that is about to change/expand.  Here are a few of my favorite ideas.  Enjoy!

I might try this when it's time to carve some pumpkins!  I think I get into it more than the kids.  :)

OK this isn't a pumpkin, but maybe a necessary snack while we are carving?  It's pumpkin fudge and sounds pretty amazing...

High Energy Rooms

All of these rooms have a jolt of color - not usually my thing as I'm sure you've noticed by my love of neutral rooms - but I am really loving the vibe they give off.  And as you'll see, in most cases it's still a neutral room with accent pieces in a vibrant color.  Maybe it's because it's Summer - not sure - but I love them!

How many of you would have the guts to buy an orange couch?  Not me, but it does look amazing!  The moroccan accents and tufting help it stay away from looking too childish...and let's get real:  those incredible windows can pull off just about anything.

Doing this is to an old hutch we have is on my summer to-do list - seems much less intimidating than wallpapering the inside!

There's a lot going on in this room but I think those chairs are pretty amazing.

Yes, this is a store, but there are still great ideas to study...

Every time I see a surfboard in a room it makes me smile.

I'd like to see a vase overflowing with sunflowers on this table.

Euro-loft - how cool.

A Few Great Things

This is a unique space overall...  It's not exactly beautiful in the traditional sense, yet something about it really intrigues me.  What is it?

This makes me want to grab a novel and jump on a plane to Mexico right now!
