I don't have much time to post right now - I'm out and about trying to enjoy the last few weeks of Summer before school schedules and activities kick in - but I had to post this beautiful room. Check out this gorgeousness from Michael S. Smith...
It combines so many beautiful elements...the stone fireplace, the detailing along the ceiling, the beams, the chandelier, the Spanish arches...etc. etc. etc.!
Which detail is your favorite?

I love this timeless European aesthetic inspired space. Favorite element (at the moment) is the refrectory table. From the photo I can't tell if it's period late 17th c. or 17th c. style--but it is gorgeous as is the rest of the room. I'm packing as I write. Thanks. Mary
Ooops, spoke too soon, the Delft ware is fantastic. Mary
Barbara,
What a lovely room to send me off, dreaming over the weekend.
Enjoy the last weeks of summer vacation.

Only one word.....GORGEOUS!!!!!!
LOVE it!
Does anyone else see the scale thing he;'s playing with by putting a pair of doors in the arch to the right of the over-scaled fireplace instead of a single door? It makes the scale of the room grander.
Cheers,
John
I love the scale of the fireplace and the arched doors. I wouldn't mind having the chandelier either.
Best...Victoria

To hard to choose! The fireplace with that simple screen is heavenly.
Love his work....He is one talented guy!
He is a genius in my book. I might not love everything he does (well almost) but he literally never screws up!
This room is just perfect! Enjoy the last of the summer. x Sharon
