Today I visited one of my favorite local flea markets and, among other treasures, I found a few antique dough bowls from Romania that I am thrilled about. The seller (a Romanian) didn't speak much English or German so it was a bit tough to communicate at first. However, it must have been meant to be because we happened to take my Father-in-law along and - here's the lucky part - he speaks some Romanian! He did some business there many years ago and could remember a fair amount, so in the end it worked out well and doing business with the seller was a pleasure. I call that good shopping karma.
I am so excited to be adding them to my Linen Haus collection. I promise to share a picture of them when I get some time to do a little photo session with my newest finds, but for now, here are a few ideas to get you started - many of which are perfect for a rustic inspired Fall display:
