Amazing arched french doors!!!
Soaring ceilings + stunning chandelier + eclectic furniture = beautiful!
This mossy green velvet and the sultry shape of those chairs gives the room some great kick!
The arches make the room feel open without it being a completely open floor plan.
The religious artefacts give this room so much character.
Gentle spice colors, that chandelier and the crest over the mantel make for a great space!
More from my recent infatuation with John Jacob!
The touches of soft blue make this room very easy on the eyes.
A bit more rustic: what an interesting coffee table.
Lots of unique accents in this room make it woth a second look.
A very traditional setting, but with unique furniture selections that make it unexpected.
So cozy! Perfect for a cold Fall day...
I hope you enjoyed this post!

Barbara, no wonder I like you so much..we think alike! I LOVE these rooms...all so beautiful so elegant and yet so inviting, not stuffy or fussy at all. Great choices, and I would be happy in any one of them!
What incredible images! I'm blown away actually - particularly enamoured with the rustic beamed ceiling scheme and the one with the warm spice coloured accents.
Love the beam construction of the room with the interesting coffee table.
Great images!

gorgeous living rooms...love the soft muted colors...and the more natural to rustic feel to these spaces...this is very much the direction I'm leaning for my decor..
best,

Such lovely spaces... I also noticed that many had beautiful beams, something we plan to add to our kitchen and family room next year. Have a great weekend, Barbara!

Wow, those are gorgeous rooms. I love all the interesting ceilings and windows. You have selected a fantastic array!
Oh, oh, oh! One is prettier that the one before! Who needs the design magazines anyway? We have you!
Oh Barbara...I've just returned after ten days and to such loveliness. I love everyone of these rooms. Filled with all my favorite elements. My heart is beating for that crest above the mantel. So glad to be catching up. Have a great weekend. Mona
Barbara, as always, I loved every single one of these, but especially the one with the green chairs. Have a great weekend!

These are beautiful rooms. While they are elegant, they are not intimidating at all. I think it may have to do with the introduction of rustic, natural elements...high and low; rough and refined giving texture to the rooms. However you want to describe it, it works.
Best...Victoria
I too would be happy in every single room you've shown here. With the exception of the green chairs (which I love by the way and already have pinned) all the furniture is neutral, almost white. The architectual details (even a fireplace and mantel) go a long way in making a room beautiful. I need to remember this when it's time to buy a house. Oh, and to have any French door in a room, but three? and arched? Oh my.
