Barbara,
I meant to tell you my Great Grandmother was from Germany and while I doubt my candle clips came over with her, they would have sure been a reminder of home. Most antique/vintage clips seem to come from there.

Beautiful images, Barbara! I love seeing all the Christmas traditions around the world.

I especially love the last image. My daughter (who is 2, & doesn't fully understand Christmas yet) has very excitedly asked for an apple for Christmas (even though she has one for a snack nearly daily). When she saw the presents under the tree, she wanted to know where her apple was!

A very Merry Christmas to you and yours!!

Merry Christmas Barbara and Happy Holidays!

I have been a lousy blog friend lately, (busy with the store) but I hope to find a better balance in 2012.

Your blog is wonderful and I really enjoy visiting.

See you in 2012!

oxoxo, Mon

P.S Those gingercookie houses on the mugs are very creative. A nibble and a slurp! (:

Merry Christmas Barbara! We had the chance to stop in at a Christmas market in Frankfurt one year, it was wonderful! I love these images, the candles {are those almond leaves?}, ice with holly and those darling little gingerbread houses perched on the rims of the mugs.

Happy New Yearl
